Day 1: Arrival in Maasai Mara
You’ll arrive in Nairobi and be picked up by your safari guide. You’ll then proceed to Maasai Mara National Reserve, a journey that takes about 5-6 hours. You’ll arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and then embark on an afternoon game drive to witness the incredible wildlife that calls the Mara home.
Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara
On the second day of your safari, you’ll spend the entire day exploring the Maasai Mara National Reserve on a game drive. This is the peak of the wildebeest migration season, and you’ll be able to witness the massive herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles as they cross the Mara River in search of greener pastures. You’ll also have the opportunity to spot predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards hunting in the savannah.
Day 3: Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, you’ll leave the Maasai Mara and travel to Lake Nakuru National Park, a journey that takes approximately 5-6 hours. You’ll arrive in time for lunch and then embark on an afternoon game drive to explore the park, which is famous for its flamingos and rhinos.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Nairobi
On the final day of your safari, you’ll have an early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park to catch a glimpse of any wildlife you may have missed during your previous game drives. After breakfast, you’ll check out of your lodge and begin the journey back to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon.
