Maralal Camel Derby

Day 2: Nairobi to Maralal On day 2, you will depart Nairobi early in the morning and travel north towards Maralal. The journey takes approximately 6-7 hours and passes through scenic landscapes and traditional villages. Upon arrival in Maralal, you will check into your accommodation and have some time to explore the town.
Day 3: Maralal Camel Derby Day 3 is the main event – the Maralal Camel Derby. You will spend the day at the racecourse, watching the thrilling camel races and enjoying the cultural exhibitions and entertainment. You can also take part in various activities such as camel riding, archery, and cultural tours. In the evening, there will be a traditional feast with local delicacies.
Day 4: Samburu Cultural Experience On day 4, you will experience the unique culture of the Samburu people, who are the predominant ethnic group in the region. You will visit a Samburu village, where you will be welcomed with traditional dances, songs, and ceremonies. You can interact with the locals, learn about their way of life, and sample their traditional food. In the afternoon, you will return to Maralal for some leisure time.
Day 5: Maralal to Nairobi On your final day, you will depart Maralal and drive back to Nairobi. You will arrive in the afternoon and have some time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing. In the evening, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home or to your next destination.
